Baldwinsville — For the last two months, we at the Baldwinsville Messenger have been accepting photographs as part of our inaugural Celebrate Fall Photo Contest, held in conjunction with Beaver Lake Nature Center. We’ve received over 100 entries that capture the beauty of Beaver Lake as summer faded into autumn, leaves blazing and geese flying. We’d like to thank the photographers, both amateur and professional, who shared their work with us and wish them luck as we move into the judging phase of our contest.
Now it’s time to turn to our readership and ask for your help in picking the best photos. As noted above, we have more than 100 photos from which we must choose a first-, second- and third-place winner. All of those photos will be posted on our Facebook page from now until Nov. 15. We’re asking for your help to pick the best pictures. The 15 photos with the most “likes” will move on to the final judging round.
Once you have helped us to narrow it down to the top 15, a panel of judges, which will include our editors as well as local leaders and Beaver Lake personnel, will choose the first, second and third place winners. Prizes will be announced at a later date. Photos will be judged based on creativity, composition, artistic merit and overall impact.
This contest has been a community effort, and we’re turning to the community now to help us judge it. Please help us as we recognize some of B’ville’s best photography. Find the photos at Facebook.com/baldwinsvillemessenger.
