Fifty-four students and recent graduates of West Genesee High School have been named Advanced Placement Scholars by The College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations. Several levels of achievement are recognized based on the number of year-long courses and examinations (or their equivalent semester-long courses and examinations).
Eleanor Moran and Adam Pierce have each been honored with an AP International Diploma. This honor is awarded to students who display exceptional achievement across a variety of disciplines.
Eleven graduates qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Examinations taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these examinations. They are: Isabella Clary, Mia Coots, Tyler Meier, Gabrielle Mitchell, Eleanor Moran, Benjamin Paoli, Danesia Patterson, Adam Pierce, Abigail Ray, Alexander Shuron, and Velika Zaitseva.
Thirteen students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honors Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Examinations taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these examinations. Seniors who qualified are Margaret Clancy, Abigail Fassinger, Shannon Flynn, Victoria Humphrey,
Jebediah Kopek, Kenzie Koster, Emily Naughton, Noah Ruston, James Tully, Joshua Varkey, and Heidi Walsh, along with graduates Laura Alvaro and Zara Dafoe also received this recognition.
Thirty students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by receiving grades of 3 or higher on three or more AP Examinations. The AP Scholars are seniors Jacob Adams, Julia Biggs, Anna Caruso, Sean CIpro, Anita Edgar, Kathleen Glass, Annalyse Kittell, Emily Kurz, Grant Mathews, Sophia Morphet, Kerrigan Nish, Liam O’Connor, Zoe Orr, Reis Pagan, Robert Patch, James Schneid, Julia Supernault, and Tanner Young along with graduates Kaylee Franks, Emma Goodelle, Rylee Kieffer, Jonathan Martin, Abigail McGrath, Olivia Murphy, Arianna Nguyen, Zhenne Pengel, Sarah Petrus, Ava Propper, Rose Smith, and
Ella Watts.
