Longtime Baldwinsville resident Dorothy Noro Greitner passed away on Aug. 13, 2018, in South Cle Elum, WA, with family at her side.
Born in 1928, she married Edwin Greitner and had two daughters. A loving and devoted mother, she volunteered for school activities and served as a Girl Scout troop leader. She pursued a career as a legal secretary.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters Shelley deMaintenon and husband Dean of Ellensburg WA and Carol Greitner and partner Henry Altevogt of Frankford DE. She cherished time spent with grandson Sam deMaintenon, wife Jodie Karsky and children Jasmine and Codie, granddaughter Madeline deMaintenon, husband Silvestre Gonzalez and children Fidelina and Theo and many dear friends.
Dorothy loved plants, animals and the theater. She created beautiful handicrafts as gifts for relatives and friends. Her warmth and generosity attracted friendship wherever she went.
Her family thanks Kittitas County Hospice and the staff of Nova and Malibu Houses. Contributions in Dorothy’s memory would be appreciated at Beaver Lake Nature Center, Baldwinsville. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, in the community room of Conifer Village in Baldwinsville.
