Phyllis Condon Quinn Whiting, 88, passed away peacefully at Glens Falls Hospital on Friday, Aug. 5, 2016.
Born on Nov. 20, 1927, in Spencer, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Eleanor Condon.
Phyllis lived in Worcester, Mass., and moved to Glens Falls where she attended Ridge Street and Jackson Heights, and graduated from South High in 1945.
She worked at Glens Falls Insurance Company for two years. In 1947, she married Curtis Quinn; they moved to Albany in 1956 and then to Skaneateles in 1972. Curtis passed away in 1992.
Phyllis moved back to Glens Falls in 1996, when she married the now late Alfred Whiting.
She enjoyed many years of traveling, boating, and visiting with her family.
In addition to her parents and both husbands, Phyllis was predeceased by her sister, Marjorie Condon Quinn; brother, Ronald Condon and grandson, Curtis A. Quinn.
She is survived by her three children, David Quinn and his wife, Janet; Curtis T. Quinn and his wife, Porzia; Diana Quinn Parlin and her husband, Jeff. Phyllis is also survived by her five grandchildren, Davey Quinn, Erin Martin, Anna Quinn, Keith Parlin and Tristan Parlin.
At Phyllis’s request, no services are scheduled.
