The Town of DeWitt is beginning a phased re-opening of town hall to the public this month.
On Monday, June 22 DeWitt Town Hall will re-open to the public by appointment only.
The public can call to make an appointment with the appropriate department; upon arrival at the Town Hall parking lot for their appointment, visitors will be asked to call that department so staff can let them into the building.
Services will be available by appointment within each department.
However, it is still highly recommended the public conduct as much business online, through the mail, or make use of the drop box (located to the left of the Town Hall front door) whenever possible.
All pertinent information is available on the Town of DeWitt website at townofdewitt.com.
By appointment only services in town hall will be in place from Monday June 22 until Monday, July 6.
As of Monday, July 6, town hall will be fully open to the public; all practicable safety measures – face masks, social distancing, 6 foot floor spacers, etc. – will be in place and all visitors to town hall will be required to adhere to those measures.
“We want the public to feel welcome at town hall, after all it is their town government; we look forward to seeing our citizens again,” DeWitt Town Clerk Angela Epolito said. “At the same time, we want to ensure their health, well-being, and safety, as well as ours.”
All safety and social distancing measures will be in place at DeWitt Town Hall until further notice, and all visitors are required to bring – and wear – face coverings that cover both the nose and mouth while in town hall and on the grounds.
