Project CAFE has announced a “socially distanced” Earth Day event to replace their usual community clean-up.
Residents are invited to clean up their street or neighborhood from Wednesday, April 22 (Earth Day) to Saturday, April 25.
Participants are encouraged to send in a photo of themselves with the items they picked up to cazcovidresponse@gmail.com to help create a “virtual event.”
The Village of Cazenovia will have a truck stationed in the public lot in front of Kinney Drugs for waste disposal from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 25.
Rural residents who may not have as much to pick up are invited to select a village street or park that still needs attention and drop the trash in the truck.
Participants are reminded to maintain social distancing during the event and to use a face mask if they come into contact with others during the process. Gloves should also be worn during the clean-up.
