Voters in the Baldwinsville Central School District have approved the district’s 2019-20 budget and elected one incumbent and two newcomers to the school board.
The budget, which totals $109,651,972, passed with 1,560 yes votes. There were 357 no votes cast for a total of 1,917 votes.
Results of the other ballot propositions are as follows:
Proposition II – Annual Bus Purchase, $1,134,923
YES 1,545 NO 369 Total Votes = 1914
Proposition III – Equipment Purchase, $213,000
YES 1,581 NO 328 Total Votes = 1,909
Proposition IV – Establish a Capital Reserve, $5,000,000
YES 1,548 NO 356 Total Votes = 1,904
Reeves re-elected; Dingle, Falso join BOE
Seven candidates ran for three seats with three-year terms. The candidates with the three highest vote totals have been elected:
Brian Dingle: 1,107 votes
Denise Falso: 1,085
Joan Reeves (incumbent): 890 votes
Incumbent Victor Jenkins received 701 votes, Burrill Wells received 513, Sally Dayger received 495, and incumbent Steve Schweitzer received 489 votes.
Dingle, Falso and Reeves will begin their new terms in July.
