To the editor:
When I think of the individuals who have had a career as positive change agents, Maureen Patterson immediately comes to mind. To create the best possible outcomes for problems that arise, Maureen works collaboratively with stakeholders who have diverse perspectives Her ability to work with people helps to increase the accomplishments of the team and to minimize barriers that get in the way of getting things accomplished.
Maureen is a good listener and demonstrates again and again a commitment to ensuring that all stakeholders have a voice and that the ideals of our system of government are upheld. Dr. Patterson is a doer. Her work ethic is tireless and she often puts off time for herself when there is a need to attend to an issue. Maureen makes of point of learning various perspectives related to any issue so she can have the most complete picture possible.
With the complex issues facing our communities today, we need leaders like Dr. Maureen Patterson to listen, take action and get things done. She will do just that.
