To the editor:
Thre are two candidates running for election in the village of Liverpool on Tuesday, June 21, who deserve your support. Both Jim Rosier and Matt Devendorf are running for village trustee to fill the two seats which expire at the end of June. Both have demonstrated their dedication to the village of Liverpool through their years of service to the community.
Jim Rosier is running as an incumbent with 14 years of service on the village board. Jim’s experience as liaison to numerous village departments and his experience as a skilled negotiator make him a valuable asset to the village. He has negotiated many successful collective bargaining agreements on behalf of the village and his knowledge of employee relations and budget strategies have provided our board with the perspective of a business professional.
Matt Devendorf has served the village as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the past four years and has attended a significant number of meetings of the village board of trustees, where he demonstrated his desire to further serve the village through his active participation. Most recently, Matt volunteered to serve on the “Village Court Fact-Finding Committee” where he displayed his leadership qualities during discussions which required that he maintain an impartial approach to the task at hand.
Please support both Jim Rosier and Matt Devendorf with your vote. Thank you!
Gary White
Mayor, Village of Liverpool
Editor’s note: While we traditionally do not print letters pertaining to an election the week before the election, we failed to print that policy in last week’s edition. As such, we are making an exception here. Any follow-ups can be found on our website, eaglenewsonline.com.
