The DeWitt Police Department have reported an arrest in the robbery that occurred on July 28 at the Key Bank on 215 Tecumseh Road in Syracuse.
Police say Eric Tucker, 27, of Albany, was arrested by U.S. Marshalls today on an arrest warrant that was filed by the DeWitt Police Investigation Unit. Tucker was transferred from Albany to DeWitt Police Investigators early this morning and brought to DeWitt for arraignment.
According to police, at approximately 3:17 p.m. on July 28, the suspect entered the bank and passed a note to a teller demanding money. A weapon was threatened but never seen. The suspect left the bank without any proceeds and got into a gray Volkswagen. Later that day, police put out a release asking the public for assistance in identifying the suspect.
Tucker was charged with attempted robbery in the third degree, a felony, and attempted larceny, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned before Village of East Syracuse Judge Glassford and ordered held at the Justice Center on $25,000 cash/$ 50,000 bond returnable to the Town of DeWitt Court on Aug. 10.
