Mayor Richard Clarke of the village of Baldwinsville has been nominated to the eight-member Nominating Committee of the New York Conference of Mayors (NYCOM). NYCOM President Thomas Roach, mayor of the city of White Plains, made the selection.
“Mayor Clarke has been an active participant in NYCOM programs and is well-suited to serve on this important committee,” Roach said. “His commitment to municipal government and public service will help ensure that leadership of the Conference of Mayors remains in good hands.”
The Nominating Committee is responsible for determining the slate of officers to be elected on May 8 at NYCOM’s 108th annual meeting at Saratoga Springs. The Conference of Mayors represents 580 cities and villages in New York state, ranging from the smallest village to the city of New York. NYCOM has been in existence since 1910.
