Parachute Explorations | Friday, June 9th at 10:30 -11:00 AM: Join us on the first Friday of the month for a special program for kids 2 – 5 years. Kids and caregivers will work together as we sing songs and manipulate the parachute. This program reinforces fine motor skills, following directions, and early literacy practices through singing and playing. No registration. Ages 2 – 5.

Graphic Novel Book Club | Sunday, June 11th at 2:30 PM: Our June book is Stepping Stones by Lucy Knisley. Every month, we’ll read a graphic novel and then get together at the library to chat about the book, play games, and flex our creative brains. For kids in grades 3 – 5.
Library Board Meeting | Tuesday, June 13th at 6:30 PM: The Library Board is made up of community members who volunteer their time and skills to further the mission of the library. All meetings are open, and the public is welcome to attend.
Cookbook Club | Wednesday, June 14th at 6:00 PM: Our theme this month is Mediterranean! Bring a prepared dish to share and the cookbook/recipe that inspired the dish. Everyone will have a chance to sample dishes from an assortment of cookbooks while only having to prepare one dish. Make sure you come hungry! Registration required.
Books & Brews: No Pressure Book Club @ Skaneateles Brewery | Thursday, June 15th 6:00 – 8:00 PM: Ever wanted to join a book group to talk about books but didn’t want to be tied down to reading a specific book. Guitar Concert: Maya Loncar| Saturday, June 17th at 7:30 PM: Maya Lončar started learning guitar with her father, Miroslav Lončar, at the age of six.
She completed her Bachelor’s degree in guitar performance under the tutelage of renowned performer and pedagogue, Julian Gray, at the Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA. Most recently, Maya has completed her Master of Music at the Eastman School of Music with Nicholas Goluses in Rochester, NY and is now pursuing her Doctor of Music Arts in Performance and Literature at the Eastman School of Music with Nicholas Goluses.

Summer Reading Kick-off Party | Saturday, June 24th from 1:00 – 3:00 PM: Drop by the library’s back yard to celebrate the start of Explore Summer! Register for summer reading, tie dye a tote bag for your books, and get a taste for some of our programs throughout the summer. No registration. All ages are welcome.
Butterfly Release with Winterberry Homestead | Tuesday, June 27th at 10:30 AM: Join us for a hands-on program with Winterberry Homestead. Learn about identifying caterpillars, the process of transforming into a butterfly, and more! At the end of the program, participants will receive a butterfly they can release into the air and make a wish. Registration required. For ages 5 – 12.

Summer Reads Book Tasting | Thursday, June 29th at 2:00 PM: Eat cookies and generate your summer reading list! Check-out some of the best new books released for summer—read snippets from the story, examine the artwork, and start your summer reading list. Each book genre is paired with an Oreo cookie flavor to make reading that much more tasty. Into Sci-fi? Pair your book with a mint Oreo for that alien-green cream. There’s so many genres (and flavors!) to explore. Registration required. Ages 8 – 11.
