CAMILLUS — The Friends of Maxwell Memorial Library are excited to announce their 18th Geranium Sale.
These vibrant flowers come in 4.5 inch pots from a local nursery, and are available in five colors: red, white, magenta, white-to-rose, and salmon splash.
Prices are: $5 each, $20 for six, or $35 for a dozen.
Order forms are available at the library at 14 Genesee St. in the village of Camillus, and can also be downloaded from the library’s website, maxwellmemoriallibrary.org.
Completed order forms and checks made out to Friends of Maxwell Library (please do not send cash) can be mailed to: Friends of Maxwell, c/o John Rohner, 162 Forrest Way, Camillus, NY 13031.
All orders must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 6.
Flowers may be picked up on Saturday, May 14 between 9 a.m. and noon at the Camillus Village Hall.
Ample free parking is located behind the building. Please note this is one week prior to the Village Mile-Long Sale this year.
Delivery is not available.
All flowers must be pre-ordered.Each customer will receive a free packet of sunflower seeds from the Junior Friends to honor Ukraine. The sunflower is Ukraine’s national flower, Thank you for your support.
The Friends of Maxwell Library are honored to be the recipients of this year’s National Friends of Libraries Week Award. National Friends of Libraries Week is held every October; in 2021, the Friends collaborated on several programs such as an art exhibit and the Mischief at Maxwell Halloween event. The Friends are one of two groups nationwide to receive this award, and they will receive special recognition at the United for Libraries conference in August.
Formed in 1993, the Friends of Maxwell Memorial Library group is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization which sponsors fundraisers and outreach programs for the library. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 1pm. New members are always welcome (including Junior Friends). Junior Friends (grades 4-7) help out at events and sponsor free giveaways.
