The Skaneateles Police Department is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer that occurred on Monday, November 9th, at approximately 9:07 a.m., on East Genesee Street in the Village of Skaneateles.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Michael L. Shores, age 70, of Hallstead, PA, was traveling east on East Genesee Street in the Village of Skaneateles in a 2018 Freightliner when he struck William F. Lynn, age 86, of Skaneateles, who was crossing East Genesee Street. Lynn was transported to Upstate University Hospital for treatment, but succumbed to his injuries on November 11th.
The Skaneateles Police Department was assisted by the New York State Police at the scene and the investigation is continuing.
