The Skaneateles Press included several advertisements from the Finger Lakes SPCA in Auburn encouraging readers to adopt a pet. One featured the picture of Castro, a handsome Labrador-spaniel mix. If you find yourself quarantined at home, perhaps this is the perfect time to welcome a pet in a need into your home. You’ll have the time needed to help get them acclimated, and they’ll help provide you with company during this time of social distancing.

According to the New York Telephone Company, “the folks in Alaska and Hawaii outtalk those on the mainland man for man (or woman for woman). According to USA Today, Texans received the highest number of robocalls in June of 2019 – 500 million! Previously, it was believed that most of these calls were originating outside of the U.S., but after recent investigations, the majority of scam callers were based in either Florida or California. Beware, August is the peak time for robocalls.

Although theaters might be closing their doors temporarily, you can certainly rely on streaming services to view classic films of the past.
