Alison and Zoe Mullan-Stout to perform at the Marcellus Free Library
Enjoy a St. Patrick’s Day celebration concert on Sunday, March 15 at 2 p.m. with Alison and Zoe Mullan-Stout, singers and songwriters who create enchanting harmonies with their poetic, folk-inspired lyrics.
The two sisters were born in Dublin, Ireland and grew up in Marcellus.
Alison and Zoë draw inspiration from their Celtic roots, their love of nature, and from peoples’ stories. In recent years, they have been performing as an acoustic duo in Central New York. They have opened for artists including Richard Shindell at Auburn Public Theater and The Burns Sisters at Homer Center for the Arts.
Since their last performance at Marcellus Library in March 2019, Alison and Zoë have performed internationally in Ireland at a variety of cafes, pubs, and house concerts.
In the past year, Alison and Zoë have been on quite the musical journey.
Alison is now living and writing songs and poems on the Southwest coast of Ireland, and is visiting New York for a series of performances throughout March. Zoë has been working with the Syracuse Community Choir, teaching guitar and songwriting lessons, and performing as a solo musician/singer-songwriter.
Alison and Zoë have been inspired to write and learn new songs on their trips to Ireland. Their visit to Marcellus Library on March 15, is part of a series of shows in March that feature new original songs and songs from Ireland.
