The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies have charged the two men accused of assaulting another man on October 1st while at the Split Rock Quarry in the Town of Onondaga.
Last week the Sheriff’s Office requested the public’s assistance with identifying two men accused of assaulting another man after a verbal dispute over an unleashed dog turned physical. Within hours of releasing the images to the public, the Sheriff’s Office had received numerous tips and phone calls identifying the two men.
On Friday, deputies charged the two men, Dylan Fredette (22) of Octagon Road, Tully, and Scott Sherwood (39) of Hutchinson Avenue, Syracuse, with assault in the 1st degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree and conspiracy in the 4th degree. The two men are accused of striking the victim in the face with a rock causing substantial injuries that later required surgery.
Both men were arraigned in the Town of Onondaga Court by Judge Kerr, who released them on their own recognizance.
