Whether it was wet weather or cold weather, it took a couple of weeks for the Baldwinsville girls golf team to finally get to matches on a consistent basis.
When it did, though, the Bees were ready for it, as it showed last Monday at Timber Banks by putting together a 208-232 victory over the Liverpool Warriors.
Katie Walsh shot a 40 for nine holes, nearly matching par, and well clear of the Warriors’ top golfer, Alessa Main, who finished with a 52.
B’ville then made it back-to-back wins on Tuesday afternoon by venturing to Westvale and defeating West Genesee 209-229. Walsh improved to a 39 and, this time around, had some more help as Jordyn Fofi posted a 52, her best round so far.
Hosting Central Square on Wednesday afternoon, the Bees went for three in a row and got it, handling the Redhawks 205-230. Again, Walsh was in top form, her round of 38 a full 17 shots better than Central Square’s Laura Bratt, who took individual honors for her side.
A rematch with Central Square followed a day later at Greenview, and the Bees made it four wins in a row, turning back the Redhawks 207-221 with a team scoring grid that remained consistent.
Walsh posted a 40, 12 shots better than Carissa Rowland, who led the Central Square side. Emma Brushingham earned a 54, while Megan Fonero finished with a 55 and Fofi added a 48.
