The Cazenovia Volunteer Fire Department held its annual banquet last Thursday, Feb. 5, at The Lincklaen House. The event was attended by nearly the entire department and their spouses, the Madison County Fire Coordinators, fire chiefs from surrounding departments and State Assemblyman Bill Magee.
Five service awards were handed out at the banquet. Richard Sears, of Fenner, received the Chief’s Award for his dedication to the fire service throughout the year 2014; Tom Davies received the Auxiliary Member of the Year award from President Tammy Barrett; Bill Carr received the EMS Rescue Award; Butch Enders received a 30-year award for service with the Owaghena Hose Co.; Mike Emerson and Tony Carr both received Lifetime Achievement awards for service with the Owaghena Hose Co.; Pat Haley received a 40-year award for service with the Cazenovia VFD Auxiliary and Kris Reardon received a 50-year award for service with the Cazenovia VFD Auxiliary. Haley and Reardon also received service awards from the state of New York, which were handed out by Magee.
