Van Buren officials have rescheduled a public hearing regarding an amendment to the property maintenance law, which would require owners of property zoned as industrial to maintain the land. The hearing will be held at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at the town hall, corner of Van Buren and Ellsworth roads.
Demolition to take place
The village has taken action to demolish the old Yorkers Grocery Store located at 108 Syracuse St. in Baldwinsville.
“That [property] has been an eyesore for decades,” Mayor Joseph Saraceni said.
The village Codes Enforcement Officer Gregg Humphrey said Onondaga County has given the go ahead for the process, which is expected to take place this fall.
