A Jamesville man has been charged with driving while intoxicated after an accident in Jamesville, not far from his home.
Onondaga County Sheriff Kevin Walsh says Brian Jackson, 24, was driving on East Seneca Turnpike in Jamesville when he left the roadway, struck a culvert, became airborne and hit a tree.
Crews from the Jamesville Fire Department responded to the scene and extricated Jackson from his heavily-damaged vehicle. He was sent to Upstate Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
He was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated and imprudent speed.
