Residents of the 13th district of the Onondaga County Legislature have chosen new representation.
Contender Derek Shepard has unofficially won the seat for county legislator against 20-year incumbent Bob Warner and contender James Scaramuzzino. According to the Onondaga County Board of Election’s website, which posts the unofficial results of every election in the county, Shepard received 1,868 votes (44 percent) while Warner and Scaramuzzino received 1,017 (24 percent) and 1,334 (31 percent) votes, respectively.
The 13th district represents residents residing in the town of Van Buren and part of the town of Camillus.
