YMCA officials are not giving up on the 22-acre site in Radisson.
Earlier today, officials announced receipt of a $500,000 pledge to build the Northwest Family Y at the corner of Drakes Landing and Route 31 in Lysander. The donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, hopes the donation will encourage town officials to move forward with the project despite a June 20 decision by the Lysander Planning Board, which declared the proposed 98,000-square-foot facility would have a negative impact on the character of Radisson, a planned unit development.
