Syracuse Public Artist in Residence Brendan Rose’s latest project, taking shape in one of the city’s newest green spaces, is a symbolic, serpentine sculpture aimed at reminding the public about the importance maintaining the community’s renewed reverance of Onondaga Creek.
Rose is working with SU Industrial and Interaction Design students to create and install the new public art piece along the creek, starting in the newly developed creekside parks in Armory Square.
The sculpture will appear sporadically alongside the Creekwalk, mimicking Onondaga Creek’s presence throughout the city, according to a 40 Below Public Arts Task Force press release.
