Both of the Baldwinsville soccer Section III Class AA quarterfinal playoff games, set for Friday night, are now at Fulton’s new artificial turf field because of concerns about the grass at Pelcher-Arcaro Stadium amid an adverse weather forecast.
Otherwise, the schedule remains the same. The girls game, pitting the top-seeded Bees against Oswego, is still set to start at 5 p.m, with the B’ville boys team, in pursuit of a fourth straight sectional title, meeting Liverpool at 7 p.m.
Concerns about the field have remained since the Oct. 15 football game between B’ville and CBA, when heavy rains rendered the field quite muddy. A week later, the Bees moved its first-round playoff game against Corcoran to the new turf at Liverpool, where the Bees won 40-6.
