Looking for volunteers

American Heart Association: Go Red for Women Luncheon needs lots of enthusiastic volunteers! We need help on Thursday, October 28th starting at 6:30 am and ending at 3:00 pm. We also need people with trucks or SUVs to transport big items, as well as some strong people to help carry stuff. Citizen Advocacy: Always looking for volunteers who’ll be matched in a one to one relationship with a person with a developmental disability. Give Kate Ward a call at 472-9190 to find out more!

Center for Community Alternatives: Looking for dozens of people to mentor one day a week – one hour per week. We’d love to tell you more about our program. You can contact mentor recruiter Jason Torreano at 422-5638 X259 or e-mail: [email protected].

Looking for board members

American Diabetes Association: Needs an at large member for their Leadership Board! Please contact Tom Czajak at 438-8687 x3666 or [email protected] if interested.

The CNY Jazz Arts Foundation: Interested in obtaining some expertise in the finance area for our finance committee and committee members. Contact Barney Molldrem at 422-4323.

YMCA’s Y-Arts Program: Especially in need of people with marketing, public relations and fundraising skills.

Onondaga Case Management: Looking for three Governing Board Members in legal, marketing, finance, policy, and/or other similar administrative areas would be most important to the board’s mission at this time. Interested parties should contact Daniel Kelley, 472-7363 ext. 140.

Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways: Looking for volunteers to serve on our board, on board committees and shorter-term task groups, and a multitude of other volunteer options. Please e-mail [email protected] if you have interest.

George & Rebecca Barnes Foundation: Architecture, accounting, advertising, marketing, education, publicity and fund raising skills and a passion for community service are invited to apply for Board Membership. If you are interested contact: Karen Howe, President at 422-2445 or 254-4633.

Alchemical Nursery: In need of board members! Interested individuals with experience in consensus leadership, community development, accounting and bookkeeping, fund raising, and a passion or predilection for the ecovillage and intentional community movement should send a resume and cover letter to [email protected].
