Past president of the Syracuse Symphony Association Vicki Feldman will be this year’s recipient of the Hannah G. Soloman Award, presented by the National Council of Jewish Women Syracuse Section At-Large.
Feldman is the immediate past president of the Syracuse Symphony Association and newly retired member of the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra Executive Committee, will be receive the award Monday Oct. 25.
The Hannah G. Soloman Award is reserved for women who have “demonstrated exceptional service to both the Jewish community and the community at large,” according to the NCJW.
Feldman has held leadership positions in the Syracuse Jewish Family Service, Syracuse Opera Aria Society, and the Syracuse Jewish Music and Cultural Festival.
Known for donating her design and publication skills to non-profits, Feldman also raised $70,000 for two consecutive years in support of the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. She
Feldman lives in Manlius with her husband Robert Feldman. They have a daughter, Jessica, who lives in Syracuse with her husband and two children; and son, Adam, who lives in Kansas City with his wife and two children.
The award will be presented on Monday Oct. 25 at Justin’s Grill, 6400 Yorktown Circle, East Syracuse. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., the program will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. To attend, make a reservation by Oct. 18 by calling Marlene Holstein at 446-7648.
