B’ville’s Watson no-hits Oswego

Already established as the ace of the Baldwinsville pitching staff, senior right-hander Bo Watson further added to his reputation on a gray and gloomy Monday afternoon with a no-hitter.

Watson produced his gem at home against Oswego, and needed to be that good as the Bees squeezed past the Buccaneers 1-0.

Surviving four walks and an error, Watson escaped trouble whenever he needed to, normally through strikeouts as he totaled 11 before the day was done.

Oswego hurler Shane Demo gave up six hits, surrendering the game’s only run in the second inning when the Bees’ no. 9 hitter, Torre Holtman, drove home Kyle Lattanzio.

Both Lattanzio and freshman catcher Gabe Levanti produced two hits, but Demo blanked B’ville the rest of the way, forcing Watson to maintain his shutout – and in the process, Watson did even better.

The Bees improved to 6-4 on the season, getting its second win in three days (it knocked off Pulaski on April 24) after a three-game skid during the spring break.
