Republican Sen. John A. DeFrancisco held a meeting at his headquarters in downtown Syracuse this morning to reassure supporters that he remains committed to serving the 50th New York State Senate district and had no immediate plans to quit politics. “Now is not the time to not run,” DeFrancisco said.
Not just despite the Democratic majority in the Senate, but in large part because of it, the senator said he hopes to continue serving the people of the district for another two years, “and another two after that.”
