Several local merchants are staging the first annual Holiday Shop Hop to be held Nov.20 to Nov. 22. Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 5p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The Holiday Hop Shop is designed to encourage people to “shop local” this holiday season. To join in the fun, start at one of the participating businesses and pick up your passport and a pin.
Each business has selected a special color ribbon that will be added at each stop as well as a stamp on your passport. At your last stop on the “hop trail,” your passport will be collected to be entered into drawings for a grand prize of gift certificates from each vendor (minimum retail value of $350) and drawings for each of the beautiful gift baskets on display at each merchant’s (value of $100 each). A special gift will be given at each stop on the hop.
