Registration for Cicero Day Camp opens April 18

CICERO — Online Registration for Cicero Day Camp begins April 18. Day Camp runs from June 27-Aug. 5 for six weeks of summer fun for youth ages 5-12. Day Camp is held at Smith Road Elementary School from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. weekdays. Campers can be registered for the full six weeks or any combination of weeks. Prefer to register in person? Couples’ May Day Carriage Rides

7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 7
Midstate Athletic Community Center, 5575 Meltzer Court, Cicero

The Cicero Youth Bureau, Parks & Recreation partners with the Midstate Athletic Community Center to bring you our 2nd annual May Day Carriage Rides.

Take your special date back in time with an authentic, old-fashioned, horse-drawn carriage ride departing from and returning to the Midstate Athletic Community Center in Cicero. Each couple/group will go home with a caricature souvenir keepsake from Mike the Cartoon Magician. Couples will be paired with another couple for a 15-minute carriage ride.

Fort Brewerton Memorial Walk to Honor Veterans

6 p.m. Friday, May 20; 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21
Cicero Cemetery, 8554 Route 11

Cicero Youth Bureau, Parks & Recreation partners with Fort Brewerton Historical Society to bring you our 2nd annual Memorial Walk to be held at the Cicero Cemetery located at 8554 Route 11 in Cicero. Come hear stories of valor and sacrifice as we honor departed veterans from the Cicero area.

Registration is free but a suggested $10 donation will be collected at the event to benefit the Fort Brewerton Historical Society. Register online at cicero.recdesk.com/community/programs or call the Parks & Recreation office at 315-699-5233.

Pavilion rentals

Looking for an outdoor location to host an event? Contact the Cicero Parks & Recreation office at 315-699-5233 or visit us online at cicero.recdesk.com to request a pavilion rental. Cicero residents pay a low rate of $75 per day to reserve a pavilion and non-residents pay $100 per day.

Summer employment

The Cicero Parks and Recreation office is accepting applications for the following seasonal summer positions: Cicero Day Camp recreation attendants, park laborers, and park attendants. Please contact our office for more information. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
