ITHACA – Having swept all possible Section team honors, the Fayetteville-Manlius girls swim team brought a large contingent to Ithaca College for the Nov. 19-20 state championship meet.
The Hornets’ 200 medley relay team of Emma Luttrell, Hali Seidberg, Morgan Kingsley and Georgia Langan went 1:51.88 to qualify 10th for the finals.
Though F-M slipped a bit to 1:51.90, it still finished eighth overall, seventh in the public-school standings as Northport-Commack won in 1:45.92.
Luttrell, on her own, went 58.09 seconds in the 100 butterfly and, in the finals, posted 58.20 to land in 14th place.
This followed a 200 individual medley where Luttrell went 2:11.07 in the opening round.
Kingsley posted 1:07.64 in the 100 breaststroke and got to the finals, where she would take 16th place in 1:07.83 ahead of Jamesville-DeWitt’s Gwen Lister, who was 30th in 1:10.40.
Kingsley, Luttrell, Seidberg and Georgia Langan were 21st in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:40.83, improving by more than a second from its opening-round 1:41.94.
