The Jamesville Community Museum has been hosting its own concert series once again this summer.
The museum at 6492 E. Seneca Turnpike in the hamlet is holding its open-to-the-public performances every other week next door in front of the old fire barn. The concerts take place on alternate Sundays from 3 to 5 p.m.
This year’s concert series, the second the museum has organized, has already brought in Rhythm ‘n’ Shoes for the kickoff show on July 16. That group, which flaunts a three-part harmony, will be returning today, Aug. 13, from 3 to 5 p.m. for the third event in the biweekly series.
The organizers recommend bringing lawn chairs, coolers and your dancing shoes. The museum remains open during the shows as well.
The group Ridge Runners performed on July 30 and on Aug. 27 it will be Penn Hill, a local band that plays 1960s, 1970s and 1980s music and features Jamesville-DeWitt grads Jennifer Catney and Tim Keough.
