Cazenovia College has announced a public address by Professor Kimura Kan of Kobe University, Japan, titled “Structural Change in Northeast Asia: Between Rising China and U.S. Populism.” It will explore how shifts in American and Chinese policy are changing the situation in Japan and Korea.
The lecture will be from 7 to 8 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) Friday, Nov. 3, in the Catherine Cummings Theatre on Cazenovia College Campus, at 16 Lincklaen St. It is free and open to the public.
Kan is a professor at the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies, Kobe University, and has previously been a visiting professor at Harvard University, the Australia National University, the Sejong Institute and the University of Washington. He has published 13 books and numerous articles and is an expert on the relationship between Korea (both North and South) and Japan.
