East Syracuse Minoa Spartan Stage will present the classic “Guys and Dolls” on February 4, 5 and 6. Performances are at 7 p.m. each night at ESM Central High School with an additional matinee on Saturday at 2 p.m.
One of the most beloved Broadway musicals, “Guys and Dolls” is set in 1950s Times Square and has tickled audiences for generations with its wit, zany characters, hilarious situations and fantastic musical numbers.
The story follows Nathan Detroit (played by Zackary Worden), the leader of an illegal floating craps game, as he tries to find a new location for his game. Meanwhile he tries to appease his fiancée of 14 years, Miss Adelaide (played by Claire Callahan) as she pressures him to finally tie the knot. In addition to Nathan and Adelaide’s problems, Sky Masterson (Ian Hohm), a hardened gambler, has fallen in love with Sergeant Sarah Brown (Summer Cardarelli) from the rescue mission while trying to win a bet.
