Baldwinsville — The holidays and a lengthy illness took me out for several weeks, but thanks to the wonders of prednisone, I’m back in time to fill you in on next month’s selections for our library book clubs.
Join the Mystery Book Club at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11 for a discussion of “The Virgin of Small Plains,” by Nancy Pickard. In this beautiful standalone mystery by the popular Pickard, an unsolved murder and local superstitions come unraveled when a prodigal son returns to unearth old secrets.
Later in the month at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, the Books for Breakfast Group plumbs the conflicts between love and science as they discuss “The Rosie Project,” by Graeme Simsion.
Can a determined scientist find the perfect mate by logic alone? Or will other forces determine his fate? Light refreshments will be served.
Both groups are welcoming to new members and copies of the titles are available at the circulation desk.
