The village of Fayetteville celebrated the start of the holiday season with the annual tree lighting celebration. The event included a nights worth of family friendly holiday activities on Friday, Nov. 27 in the Fayetteville Fire Station. Notable activities at the event included snacks, drinks, performances from the Guzman Dance Studio, horse drawn carriage rides with carolers, appearances by classic holiday characters like Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Reindeer, the lighting of the Fayetteville Senior Center Memory Tree and the grand arrival of Santa on a fire truck.
