The Lorenzo Driving Competition was started by a small group of people in 1977 — 40 years ago — and it has continued each year since then. The organizing group started a tradition of an annual show poster, and 38 of those posters are currently on display in the Cazenovia Public Library art gallery through the month of May.
The posters represent a variety of styles and genres. Some are original works by local artists, others depict historical scenes or historical periods. Why 38? No poster was created in 2003 and this year’s poster is still in the works. It will be “unveiled” in July prior to this year’s show on July 16 and 17.
