ONONDAGA COUNTY – Another important stretch of the season for the Baldwinsville bowling teams featured two league matches, the girls Bees doing its best to stay right behind Liverpool in the SCAC Metro division standings.
B’ville took on Cicero-North Syracuse last Tuesday at Strike-N-Spare Lanes, with Julia Speich and Samantha Hass leading the girls to a 7-0 shutout of the Northstars.
Steady throughout her games of 210 and 200, Speich added a 171 to finish with a 582 series as Hass was right behind, her 581 series including games of 213, 172 and 196.
Elizabeth Hildreth opened with a 181 in her 447 series as Jenna Speich rolled two games of 173 and 195. For C-NS, Trinity Short led with a three-game total of 478.
In the boys match, B’ville lost 5-2 to the Northstars, this despite a 577 series from Zenon Gasiorowski that included games of 208 and 196, plus a 563 series from Scott Ritcey that had a top game of 215.
Gabe Streeter had a 499 series capped by a 194 game as Jordan Sevigny’s 187 closed out a 485 set. Leading C-NS, Garrett Arnold shot 186, 195 and 197 in a 578 series.
B’ville swept both of its matches against West Genesee last Friday by 7-0 margins, the girls led by Jenna Speich, whose 235, 182 and 214 produced a 631 series beating out the 622 set from the Wildcats’ Lorelai Leskoske.
Julia Speich closed with games of 215 and 211 in her 604 series, with Madison Hass twice shooting 197 in a 563 series. Samantha Hass contributed a 521 series (189 high game) and Hildreth had a top game of 200.
Meanwhile, Streeter opened with a 266 in the boys match on his way to a 619 series. Jordan Sevigny’s 236 started a 589 set and Gasiorowski opened with a 234 in his 575 series. Ritcey’s second-game 214 led to a 573 total.
