ONONDAGA COUNTY – Early this week, the area’s quartet of high school boys golf teams would, in separate locations, play in their respective Section III fall tournaments.
They would go there as favorites, Jamesville-DeWitt having swept through the SCAC Empire division and Christian Brothers Academy the same in the Onondaga High School League as Fayetteville-Manlius Green defended its sectional Class AA team title.
CBA moved to 10-0 on the season when, in last Thursday’s match against Chittenango at Drumlins, it put together a 193-224 win over the Bears.

Even bigger for CBA was what it did last Friday against Westhill, who sported an 8-1 record but could not keep up with the Brothers, who won 196-212 at Drumlins.

F-M White played last Tuesday against first-place Baldwinsville and lost 125-145 in a rain-shortened event at Timber Banks, the Bees’ home course.
Then, in a narrow 209-213 loss to West Genesee Blue on Thursday back at Woodcrest, Parker Kaczorowski finished with a 36, but five different Wildcats, led by Will Shields (39), were ahead of a 44 by Adam Koss and 45 by Dylan Friedman.
