CENTRAL NEW YORK – Even before it reached August, the Jamesville-DeWitt boys golf team had a legitimate claim to local supremacy, having conquered the likes of Fayetteville-Manlius when it won the Drumlins Invitational on Aug. 30.
But the Red Rams kept going, roaring back into action last Thursday against Syracuse and Central Square and sweeping that three-team match at Drumlins.
J-D shot 182 to Syracuse’s 251 and Central Square’s 262, with five scores under 40 that was led this time by Punn Chittaratlert, who managed a season-best 34.

East Syracuse Minoa Blue would have a shot against J-D on Monday. Before that, though, the Spartans would play twice, attempting to improve to 3-1 overall.
ESM Blue beat Syracuse City 217-228 on Sept. 2 at Drumlins, mostly fueled by a 34 from Zach Johnson. Braedon Smith had a 42, with Aaron Reynolds adding a 45. Logan Welch and Zack Harmon both shot 48.
Fayetteville-Manlius Green hosted Liverpool last Wednesday at the Cavalry Club and, led by Velton Perry and Jack Sommers, handled the Warriors 192-220.
