Even before it warmed up and fully dried out, and it bore more of a resemblance to spring, area high school girls track and field teams finished their regular-season work in their various leagues.
Westhill and Skaneateles both had chances to claim regular-season league titles, but only the Warriors were able to finish on top as it beat Homer 100-40 to complete a 5-0 run through the OHSL Liberty American division.
Sweeping the field events against Homer, Westhill had Lennah Abraham throw the discus 109 feet 7 inches and the shot put 30’3”, with Brigid Heinrich second in both events.

Cazenovia piled up points in field events, except for the shot put, where Skaneateles’ Sharia Dart won with a toss of 28’6”, two inches ahead of Edan Howard (28’4”), who also finished second in the discus with 74’4”.
