This last full week of regular-season action would tell plenty about where each of the Baldwinsville bowling teams would ultimately finish in the Salt City Athletic Conference Metro division standings.
The Bees faced Liverpool last Tuesday at Flamingo Bowl, and the boys got a point, yet still lost, 2-1, to the Warriors.
Tanner Rozycko, who rolled a 300 game against Fayetteville-Manlius the week before, only had a 237 high game here during his 638 series. On Liverpool’s side, Brandon Davis had a 637 series, with Zak Orsmby earning a 635 set and Deacon Roberson getting a 608 series.
Meanwhile, the B’ville girls, with a chance to take a step toward an outright league title, lost 3-0 to Liverpool, even though Brooke Flask shot the best individual series, her 594 set including a high game of 210.
For the Warriors, Ashley Hardy shot a 541 series and high game of 196. There were also 531 series from Liverpool’s Riley Warren and Makenzi Ormsby as Ormsby got a 213 game and Mackenzie Gill shot a 202 during her 503 set.
Against Syracuse in Thursday’s match at Strike-N-Spare Lanes, the Bees had a chance to earn a share of the girls SCAC Metro title with Liverpool and Cicero-North Syracuse
All three sides won by 3-0 margins, with B’ville handling Syracuse as Liverpool topped F-M and C-NS beat West Genesee.
The Bees’ match against Syracuse proved a showcase for Madison Haas, who shot a season-best 256 game and finished with a 654 series, while Flask was close behind, earning 245 game on her way to a 636 series.
Over in the boys match, B’ville also handled Syracuse 3-0, with Rozycko recording a 267 game during his 688 series. David Hildreth got a 243 game, while Dylan Williams’ 233 game was part of a 642 series.
Now both teams would get ready for the post-season, B’ville’s girls having its Section III tournament Feb. 3 at Flamingo as the boys battling for sectional honors Feb. 10 at Pin-O-Rama in Utica.
