Each of Baldwinsville’s bowling teams would have impressive individual efforts throughout the first full week of December, leading to further success in the Salt City Athletic Conference.
The Bees faced Oswego last Monday at Lighthouse Lanes, where on the girls side a big game from Brooke Flask highlighted a 2-1 victory over the Buccaneers.
Flask set a season mark with a 258 game that was part of a 597 series. Hannah Pinard helped with a 507 series and 202 high game as Amelia Ponto gained a 498 series and Julia Spiech had a 196 game. For Oswego, Jordan Hare had a 213 game in her 587 set.
B’ville’s boys swept Oswego 3-0 as Dylan Williams and Tanner Rozycko each had three-game totals of 629, with Williams getting a 247 high game and Rozycko a 222 high game.
David Hildreth helped out further with a 531 series and high game of 205. Dylan Love contributed a 192 game and 499 series, all of which helped overcome the Bucs’ Eric Carson getting a 726 series and 258 high game.
The B’ville girls took a 4-0 record, and the boys a 3-1 mark, into its match with Cicero-North Syracuse at Strike-N-Spare Lanes, but here fortunes changed as the boys Bees pulled out a 2-1 victory over the Northstars, while the girls lost 3-0.
Each pin was important in the boys match. Rozycko’s 640 series featured a 258 high game, with Dylan Williams getting a 614 series (238 high game) and Love adding a 247 game in his 596 series. C-NS lost despite 623 series from J.J. O’Connell and Tim Cloonan, plus a 602 series from Justin Morris.
Unable to gain a point, the B’ville girls had Flask getting a 500 series and 179 high game as Ponto earned a 449 set. C-NS had Jessaia McGriff get a 570 series and 203 high game, helped by Mikayla Drodz (511 series), Elianna Pitts (495 series) and Katie Cloonan (494 series).
Each of the B’ville teams won on Friday against Cortland, with the girls winning 2-1 behind some big performances from the likes of Flask, who had a 245 high game and 626 series.
Spiech also stepped up, her 618 series including a high game of 223 as Ponto’s 211 game led to a 554 set. All of this helped to fend off a Cortland side where Calista VanEpps had a 659 series and high game of 242.
It was a 3-0 B’ville shutout of the Purple Tigers in the boys match, where Williams led with a 602 series (219 high game) and Rozycko had a 234 game as part of his 598 set. Dawson Bigtree had a season-best 573 series and 216 high game as Love’s 234 game was part of a 539 set.
