As the undefeated boys swim team at Liverpool rested last week, Cicero-North Syracuse would host Jamesville-DeWitt/CBA Friday night at the Le Moyne College pool.
Despite a string of strong individual efforts, the Northstars lost, 99-84, to the Red Rams, who improved to 5-0.
C-NS would go 1-2 in the 50-yard freestyle as Logan Petralia, in 24.75 seconds, edged out teammate Eli Ward (24.77 seconds). This was after Payton Connors claimed the 200 individual medley in 2:16.46.
Petralia returned to get first place in the 500 freestyle in 5:56.42 as Sean Payrot rolled to a victory in the 100 freestyle in 50.60 seconds. In the 200 freestyle relay, Payrot, Connors, Ward and Petralia won in 1:35.16.
The Northstars also had Petralia, Bruce Hepel, John Harbaugh and Robert Walter swim the 400 freestyle relay in 3:43.14. Payrot was second in the 200 freestyle in 1:56.06.
Liverpool would swim twice this week, taking on New Hartford Wednesday before a Saturday showdown with Watertown. C-NS takes on Baldwinsville Wednesday night.
