Dorothy Sherwood Coye and Dana Coye of Skaneateles are celebrating 75 years of a happy and loving marriage. They are part of the World War II generation who married young and remained married many years and celebrating their 75th anniversary is remarkable!
The couple have two children. Connie (John) Bouck of Auburn, N.Y., and Jim (Judy) Coye of Skaneateles, N.Y. They have two grandchildren, Jenny (Mark) Tremblay of Rensselaer, N.Y., and Ryan Coye (Samantha), New York, N.Y. They also have three step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The Coyes, after meeting and living in Jamesville, N.Y., for many years, moved to Skaneateles in 1961. They owned and operated The Skaneateles Bakery until they retired in 1989. They enjoy their view of the lake during the many seasons of the year, gardening and being with their family and friends.
