BALDWINSVILLE — Beginning the week of May 3, the parking lot at Baldwinsville Public Library will be undergoing a major renovation. Despite the lot being unavailable during this time, the library will remain open throughout the project. Here is what you need to know:
Monday hours of operation will be changed to 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. All other hours will remain the same.
Staff and patrons are encouraged to park in the lot adjacent to and behind the library’s lot as well as in the public parking spaces at Baldwin Canal Square.
Entrance to the library will be at the side entrance to the building on Virginia Street, across from Kinney Drugs. A tent will be placed outside the entrance. All entering must check in at the tent for contact tracing, similar to our current reception desk. Due to COVID-19 restrictions we have a maximum capacity of 25 patrons. Masks are still required, and hand sanitizer will be available within the tent.

Curbside pickup will be available during business hours. To arrange for pickup, call 315-635-5631. Please allow at least 30 minutes before arriving to allow staff time to fulfill requests. All cars must enter from East Genesee Street and pull up to one of two spots designated by signage. To allow for traffic flow, there is no standing on the opposite side of the street.
Our external book drop will not be available during the renovation. During business hours please return materials to the tent. After-hours arrangements are not finalized. We will publicize this information as it becomes available.
Two laptops will be available under the tent for use by those unable to enter the library due to mobility issues. Printing from these computers will be available. Please call for a reservation as you would if entering the building.
Let Us Browse for You! Service: While browsing is one of the best parts of coming into the library, for some it will not be feasible. Patrons calling ahead may ask to have materials chosen for them based upon criteria such as favorite author, genre, or subject matter. Curbside pickup will be arranged. Please allow at least one hour before coming to the library.
