B’ville Express needs volunteer drivers to provide transportation for seniors 60 years of age and over to essential services. B’ville Express operates out of Canton Woods. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Ellen at 638-4536.
Open enrollment period for Medicare Advantage and Medicare prescription drug coverage takes place through Dec. 7. The HIICAP representative will be available at Canton Woods at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7. HIICAP (Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance) is free, unbiased information on supplemental health insurance, Medicare and prescription coverage options.
Lt. Mike Lockwood of the Baldwinsville Police Department will visit Canton Woods at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21. Lt. Lockwood will present on Safety Tips.

The Office for Aging (Adult and Long Term Care Services) will hold a public hearing from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 at Canton Woods. Everyone is welcome to attend. This is an opportunity to express your concerns as an older adult, caregiver or interested individual. Your comments help the Office for Aging plan for future programs.
The Baldwinsville Community Band will be at Canton Woods 7 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 9. The program will include patriotic music in honor of Veterans Day. Everyone is welcome.
Coffee with the Lysander Town Clerk is set for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15. If you have questions for the clerk, stop by, enjoy a cup of coffee and a treat too.
Open Hand Theater will bring a special program to Canton Woods at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17. The event will be a Musical Puppet Review.
Canton Woods now has a medication return collection unit. This is a safe and environmentally-friendly way to dispose of your unused medications. You may drop off your unused medication to the return box at Canton Woods from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
Senior Nutrition. You can enjoy lunch at the center. Canton Woods is a senior nutrition lunch site on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Make a reservation (638-4536) and stop by at noon for lunch. The nutrition program is open to anyone 60 years of age and older. Suggested donation is $2.75.
Wondering what’s for lunch? On Wednesday, Oct. 26, the menu includes glazed homestyle meatloaf, O’Brien scalloped potatoes, Francais blend vegetables, Mandarin oranges and a fresh baked sweet roll. Make your reservation and join us for a delicious lunch!
