To the editor:
I’m a Democrat who lives in the Town of Manlius. This year I will vote to re-elect Republicans Ed Theobald as town supervisor and Vince Giordano, Karen Green and David Marnell to the town board.
Each of these candidates has a proven track record of service to constituents and they have worked together to:
•Keep town budgets under the New York state tax cap.
•Efficiently provide the municipal services we all rely on.
•Make responsible decisions about development and land use.
•Assure accountability for the use of public funds.
I also support the re-election of Laura Peschel, receiver of taxes and Allison Weber, town clerk. These officials are often unrecognized. Voters should know that they have done an outstanding job in maintaining public records.
In local elections our votes count. It’s important to choose qualified candidates to oversee the expenditure of property tax dollars and who represent the interest of taxpayers.
The experience and hard work of these candidates has significantly contributed to the quality of life in the Town of Manlius. On Tuesday, Nov. 7, vote to re-elect them.
