To the editor:
Tim McMahon is the best candidate for Manlius town judge. He has consistently demonstrated the qualities of an excellent judge and is dedicated to fairness and justice.
As an American history teacher at Fabius-Pompey, I spend every day engaging students with the ideals of our democracy and Tim is a perfect example of someone who will be dedicated to upholding those ideals. Tim is an open-minded and well-informed citizen, exactly the kind of person we need serving in our local government and the kind of public servant that I hope my high school history students become.
For the past several years, Tim has served as the principal law clerk to Judge Brian DeJoseph of the Supreme Court, Appellate Division. The broad experience Tim has gained in this position make him a perfect candidate to tackle the issues that come before the town court in Manlius. His extensive work on appeals has given him insight on how to make decisions on the local level that will be upheld down the line.
Tim is fully committed to everything he does, be it his family, his legal career or his work officiating local high school football games. Few people work as hard as he does. Throughout this campaign I have been consistently impressed with his even-handed and ethical approach and believe that his dedication, his intellect and his experience make Tim McMahon the person we need serving as the Manlius town judge.
